The Blitz is a derivative of the Hatsan Barrage/Bullmaster configuration. So much so, that the first shipments to the US don't include a manual for the Blitz, but instead, a manual for the Barrage/Bullmaster. Hatsan says the Blitz manual is in final review before publishing (2/27/2020). I spent some time with this rifle today. First thing was to remove the synthetic top rail with the open sights. This is simple by removing the screw engaging the picatinny rail. One front & one rear. And even with the huge 16 round rotary magazine, only 1" high rings are required to mount a scope. It weighs in at 8 lbs 10.3 oz. To be continued... Cick a photo to enlarge First, a few nits to pick. None are deal breakers but are worth noting. There's some sharp flashing under the trigger guard that needs to be trimmed. Also on the magazines on the clear plastic cover. There's no stock adjustment for extension or butt position, which is a shame on a gun that's nearly $1000. Particularly when Hatsan includes that option on most sub $300 rifles. It does have an adjustable cheek rest. Trigger pull is heavy & non-adjustable. I haven't measured it yet but will & post results. I'd also prefer a rubberized stock as found on the Bullboss. So much for the nits. To be continued...

77 yards, including two scope adjustments. 16 shots total using H&N Baracuda 46.30 grain pellets.(3 gram) We'll see if the JSBs 44 grain do any better tomorrow morning & Crono both. Got windy early today.

No chronometer today. Too cloudy at dawn & by the time over cast cleared off, winds were already gusting @ 10+ mph. I have magazines loaded with 4 weights of Neilsen swaged ammo & one of Vortex as a baseline. Also changing out scope. The Redfield is greatbut elevation is maxed out & 75 yrds. Going to the CP 4-12x40 side AO. It's a bit heavier but also has mil dots. More practical for long range tests. I wouldn't hunt past 60 yards or so as fpe drops off too much. Ground squirrel exception applies. The Redfield will likely be remounted after range/accuracy tests are done.

No one has any of these as refubished yet & that's the only way I can afford one. Thanks for posting details & photos. It's hard to find much data on this rifle. I guess with the low velocity it's still best for rabbit & possums even though it's .30 cal?
