This rifle was purchased directly from the Umarex website. It bares no resemblance at all to the original Fusion so not sure why they used the name.
I like the rifle overall. It's compact & light but not too awkward for an adult. It takes two ea, 12 gram CO2 cartridges. Keep in mind this increases shot count only, not FPE power. I sighted it in at 10 yards & 20 yards with the included 4x32 scope & mounts. It does NOT have an automatic safety which is a plus for hunting. The 8 shot mags (2 included) are easy to load. The clear plastic side goes toward the shooter. It is inserted on the left side of the gun & seats snugly. Trigger is a light single stage breaking consistently around 4 lbs.
Unfortunately, Umarex continues to disappoint me with design or manufacturing flaws in otherwise nice guns. In this case, the inner CO2 cartridge (the one closest to the receiver) would not pierce & the gun leaked gas out of receiver valving. After 16 rounds the single functional cartridge was spent. You can just hear the gas seeping out at the chamber.
The manual also states that the rifle can NOT be stored with Co2 cartridges in the gun as this will damage the seals. WHAT?? This means you can't just grab the rifle to dispatch an unwanted rodent. And unless you want to waste CO2, every time you shoot the gun you continue shooting until the CO2 pressure drops off (assuming it hasn't leaked out). Had I know this up front, the rifle would not have been purchased. Now I've filed an RMA with Umarex & will find out how the service dept performs.
This is all a shame because the rifle shot reasonably well using cheap Daisy flat nose pellets. More on the return & repair as it develops.
